MRL Online Resources – ProCitizen
For today’s online resource blog post, we are going to highlight ProCitizen. This a great resource for preparing to become a U.S. Citizen and the Naturalization Test. It is broken up into 12 levels with each one focusing on a specific subject. ProCitizen is available in both English and Spanish.
Each level is broken up into 12 units that have a mixture of drills and quizzes to help you prepare for the U.S. Naturalization test and become a U.S. Citizen. These drills and quizzes include spelling, writing, and speaking activities to master the content.
To access ProCitizen, all you need is your Massanutten Regional Library card number, which is located on the back of your card. Go to our Online Resources page. Under “Resources By Category,” click “Citizenship Resources” where you will see the link for ProCitizen in either English or Spanish. Clicking on either link will take you to ProCitizen’s homepage. If this is your first time using either ProCitizen or Pronunciator (our language learning resource) you will need to input your library card under “first time user.” You can then either click “instant access” or “register.” The first option will not save your progress, while registering for a ProCitizen/Pronunciator account allows you to track your progress so you can pick up right where you left off the next time you access the resource. To register you will need to enter an email address and a password that you will use to access ProCitizen in the future. After you have successfully registered, click the green “Launch ProCitizen!” button. This will launch the tool where you can get started!
And remember, your ProCitizen account is also your account for Pronunciator, where you can learn over 80 different languages! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact a librarian at 540-434-4475 x123.
