Branch Manager (Page Public Library) 

Massanutten Regional Library (MRL) is seeking a full-time employee to fill the position of Branch Manager at Page Public Library in Luray, VA. 

This position is 37.5 hours per week. This position will be at the Luray, VA location. 

Primary duties include: overseeing all aspects of branch operations; providing excellent customer service; maintaining collection materials; participating in system functions; resolving issues; developing and implementing programming; ensuring operating procedures are executed effectively; advocating for the library and fostering community outreach; developing and presenting story times by leading program participants in songs, rhymes, and related activities; craft preparation; interacting with children and caregivers; providing customer service to library patrons at the service desk and on the phone; and shelving library materials. 

Requires prior library experience, a proven ability to develop and implement programming, and experience working with children. Applicants must have knowledge of early childhood learning and literacy, excellent communication and technology skills. Candidates with prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred. Bachelor's degree or acceptable equivalent; MLS or MLIS preferred.

The Branch Manager acts as backup for story time and primary/backup for youth programs. 

The physical demands for this position include the ability to operate a variety of office equipment, standing for long periods, frequent stooping, bending, and stretching when shelving library materials on high and low shelves, and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently, and to push/pull library carts frequently. 

Candidates must have the ability to complete a thorough education, employment, and/or criminal history check as a post offer requirement. 

Pay will be dependent upon education and experience.  The pay range is $35,000 to $52,000.

Anticipated start date for this position will be around the middle to the end of August, 2026.

Evaluation of Information Protection Practices -- Periodically, our operations and business practices are reviewed for compliance with organization policies and procedures governing the security, confidentiality and quality of our information. Employee Access, Training and Expectations -- Our organization values, ethical standards, policies and practices are committed to the protection of user information. In general, our business practices limit employee access to confidential information, and limit the use and disclosure of such information to authorized persons, processes and transactions.
  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
  11. Do We Disclose Information to Outside Parties? We may provide aggregate information about our customers, sales, website traffic patterns and related website information to our affiliates or reputable third parties, but this information will not include personally identifying data, except as otherwise provided in this privacy policy.
