Honored Teacher’s Contest Underway
We all remember our school days, and chances are there is at least one teacher who inspired us more than any other, the one who instilled a love of learning and motivated us to pursue higher goals. Massanutten Regional Library announces its annual writing/art contest for students to show appreciation to teachers.
Local students in Harrisonburg City, Rockingham and Page Counties can win as much as $100 for first place in the annual Honored Teachers Writing Contest sponsored by Massanutten Regional Library system. Other awards given per grade are: Second Place: $50 Third Place: $25.

Theme: Why My Teacher is so Special to Me
Entries must be an original essay, video essay, artwork, or poem of no more than 250 words that describes a current or former teacher’s impact. Only one entry per student, per year may be submitted. Copies of the official Honored Teacher’s brochure, entry form, and guidelines can be found here.
All K-12 students (public, private and home schooled) from Harrisonburg City, Rockingham County and Page County Schools.

Judging categories: K-2nd; 3rd-5th; 6th-8th; 9-12th
Cash prizes will be awarded to winning essayists during a special awards ceremony held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7PM at the Main Library in Harrisonburg.
