Winter events at Massanutten Regional Library have been scheduled for children and teens alike, according to Claire Covington, Youth Services Coordinator for the seven-branch library system.

STEM Saturday @ Your Library, aimed for student grades 3-6, will be presented at North River Library in Bridgewater Saturday, January 11, 10:30 AM-12 Noon.  This age-specific children’s event is free and open to the public.

The Main Branch of Massanutten Regional Library will hold a Stuffed Animal Sleepover on Saturday, January 18, 3 PM.  This event includes a special storytime and children can leave their stuffed animals in the library over the weekend for pictures of their adventures within the “land of books.”  Children may pick up their stuffed animals and pictures on Tuesday morning.

Massanutten Regional Main Library will feature a “Game-A-Thon @ Your Library” on Saturday, January 11, 1-3 PM for teens ages 12-17.  This event will involve two hours of uninterrupted gaming (snacks don’t count) with Wii, PS2, and Atari games.  Teens should call in and register for this event.

An “Anti-Valentines Party @ Your Library” will occur at Main on Saturday, February 15, 1-3 PM for teens ages 12-17.   Teens should call in and register for this event.

All events are free and open to the public.
