The Youth Services Coordinator of Massanutten Regional Library, Clare Eakin, has planned an extensive schedule for the library's spring event line-up.
Kicking off the spring programming will be an exhibit showcasing student artwork from Harrisonburg City School Students K-12. Drawings, paintings, and sculptures are part of the exhibit which will be on display February 27- April 11 at MRL Main Harrisonburg.
Monthly activities have been scheduled for March-May and are free and open to all ages, according to Eakin.
With the arrival of spring, MRL will feature Pig Out on Reading @Your Library Saturday, March 2, 2 pm. Tales and tails from the farm with Farmer Minor and Daisy the Pig will highlight and entertain.
Village Library in Broadway and Grottoes Branch Library will feature Jim the Science Guy in April. The Science Guy is scheduled at Village on Thursday, April 4. Grottoes will host the Science Guy Thursday, April 11. Both sessions will begin at 4 pm.
Elephant and Piggie…@Your Library will return to four Massanutten Regional Library Branches in March and April. Village Library in Broadway will host the two storybook characters on Saturday, March 23, 10 am. The duo will then travel to North River Library in Bridgewater the same day at 1 pm. Page Public Library will host Elephant and Piggie on Saturday, April 27, 11 am. Shenandoah Library has Mo Willems’ notorious characters scheduled for storybook time later the same day at 1 pm.
Earth Day @ Your Library is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2 pm. The program carries the theme of planting seeds of reading with crafts, stories, and snacks.
The llamas return to Massanutten Regional Library Main on Saturday, May 4, 2 pm.
