MRL Expanding Digital Services
Massanutten Regional Library is once again expanding services to the public, and with these services, area patrons can economize their budgets. Thanks to the Library of Virginia, the seven-branch MRL system will be offering Zinio and OneClick Digital free to our patrons.
Zinio will offer library customers unlimited multi-user access to 50 of today’s popular magazines, easily viewed on any internet-enabled device. Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video.
The second service available is OneClick Digital downloadable audiobooks. OneClick will offer to MRL users 200 classic titles for adults, children, and young adults narrated by professional award-winning narrators.
Both of these services offer apps in the iTunes and Google Play stores and are compatible with most e-readers and tablets.
"We are very excited that the Library of Virginia is helping us provide these additional resources free to our patrons," Susan Versen, Head of Reference. "Without these generous gifts we would not be able to offer these services."
Currently Massanuten Regional Library patrons can utilize the OverDrive eBook system, and this will continue to be a service that MRL offers. Patrons can access all of our digital content providers by going to our Downloadable Media webpage.
Any citizen in Harrisonburg city or Rockingham and Page Counties can have access to Zinio and OneClick Digital with possession of a Massanutten Regional Library card and his own computer or digital device.
