MRL Announces Adult Programming Schedule
Massanutten Regional Library announces that its fall programming for adults has been scheduled with emphasis on health care reform, businesses, and the U.S. Constitution. These events are free and open to the public.
The adult programming will kick off with the subject of “Health Care Reform: Have a Business? How will you budget now for 2014?” H&R Block Tax Specialist Judith Preston will explain what the health care reform will mean to local businesses and how best to prepare for the changes. This program is slated for Wednesday, September 12, 12 noon in an MRL Main meeting room.
Help our nation celebrate the ratification of the United States Constitution and discuss the 2012 proposed Virginia Constitutional Amendments at MRL Main on Monday, September 17, 1 pm. Cheryl Metz, MRL reference librarian, will lead the presentation. Home-schoolers are invited to attend this presentation. Voter registration forms will be available. Constitutional materials will be provided by the DAR.
Interested in starting your own business? Judith Preston, H&R Block Tax Specialist, will return to MRL Main on Wednesday, September 19, 12 noon, to advise what start-up forms an entrepreneur would need and where the forms should be sent. Her topic for this class is: “How to Start a Small Business?”
The Shenandoah Valley Energy Partnership will provide tuition grant information to develop a green workforce on Monday, October 1, 1 pm. Emily Sterrett of SVEP will be the guest speaker. Real classes and real grants are available.
