April Adult Programming Scheduled

There is a full and busy spring schedule of adult programs at Massanutten Regional Main Library.

Tamara Shoemaker, Christian Mystery author from Waynesboro, will kick off the spring adult programming Wednesday, April 2, 1 PM, Main Library.  Shoemaker is author of the Shadows in the Nursery Series which include books Broken Crowns and Pretty Little Maids.  Shoemaker, an avid fan of James Patterson and Ted Dekker, strives to emulate her writing idols by creating hair-raising tension and shocking twists in her own books.

Patricia Ford Copper has  overcome severe adversity and shares her inspirational story in A Father’s Love.  She will discuss her life and work on Monday, April 7, 1 PM, Main Library.

James Madison Professor and  Author  Dr. James Williams shares his autobiography From Thug to Scholar:  An Odyssey to Unmask My True Potential Monday, April 14, 1 PM, Main Library. 

Have you ever wanted to read music but have not had training?  Music 101 will be presented Saturday, April 19, 1 pm, Main Library.  Dr. Barry Kolman, Conductor of the Shenandoah Symphony Orchestra, will show participants of all ages the fast track to reading music.  Kolman is also the award-winning author of The Language of Music Revealed, which teaches readers how to read and write music. 

Gears are switched to discussing the Shroud of Turin with Dr. Ray Schneider.  Dr. Schneider’s presentation is entitled “The Mysterious Shroud of Turin-Relic or Icon?”  Schneider is Associate Profesor of Computer Science , Emeritus, Bridgewater College.
 
Just in time for the Kentucky Derby, Mrs. Catherine Hamilton, author of Crown of Glory, will discuss her book on millinery and model some of her hats Monday, April 28, 1 PM, Main Library.
