Your library card – your ticket to a world of inspiration and information
We are pleased to offer free library services to residents who live Harrisonburg City and Page and Rockingham Counties. We also offer free services to counties that adjoin Page and Rockingham Counties. These include Albemarle, Augusta, Greene, Madison, Rappahannock, Shenandoah and Warren Counties of Virginia, and Hardy and Pendleton Counties in West Virginia. For residents of other areas we offer our library services for a fee of $35 per year.
Your library card not only gives you access to thousands of books, periodicals, DVDs and CDs, but it also allows you to access many of our powerful databases from your computer at home and to request holds or renew books online. For some online services you will need a User ID & PIN.
You may register for a library card at any of our seven locations. Children under age 18 must have a parent or legal guardian with them to get a card. Proof of local residency and photo ID are required. Lost cards may be replaced for a small fee of $3.
